Aftermarket Parts for Industrial Mixers
Replacement Parts for Existing Industrial Mixers
Agitation Resources supplies replacement parts for our own mixers and for industrial agitation equipment made by other manufacturers. We support operating equipment that is still in production as well as older units with limited or discontinued factory support.
We can manufacture parts from a sample or drawing. If the process has changed, we can review whether the original part is still suitable.
Parts for Equipment We Did Not Originally Supply
The original mixer manufacturer does not have to be Agitation Resources. We can evaluate parts for many existing agitators when the customer can provide adequate dimensions, photographs, nameplate information, drawings, or a sample. This is particularly useful when an original manufacturer has discontinued a model, changed ownership, or no longer supports the installed equipment.
When a direct replacement is appropriate, we match the critical interfaces needed to fit the existing assembly. When the original component has failed repeatedly or the process has changed, we can review the mechanical loads, impeller selection, shaft arrangement, seal duty, or drive requirements before recommending a replacement.
Replacement Parts We Support
- Mixer shafts and shaft sections
- Pitched blade turbines, hydrofoils, flat blade turbines, marine propellers, dispersion blades, and custom impellers
- Rotor and stator mixing heads, supplied new or repaired
- Impeller hubs, rigid couplings, shaft connections, and mounting hardware
- Mechanical seals, packing arrangements, and related seal components
- Bearings, bearing housings, and mechanical drive components
- Gearmotors, motors, and replacement drive packages
- Mounting plates, flanges, pedestals, supports, and guards
Three Replacement Paths
The right path depends on the information available and whether the original design still suits the duty.
Direct Replacement
A drawing or complete specification is available and the original design remains suitable for the operating duty.
Reproduced From a Sample
The original drawing is unavailable, but the component and its mating connections can be measured and documented.
Reviewed and Updated
The process has changed, the component has failed repeatedly, or a different drive, seal, shaft, or impeller arrangement is being considered.
Machined in Our Own Facility
Agitation Resources machines mixer components in house. The work covers new parts, reproduction of existing parts, and repair of parts already in service.
Shafts and Mechanical Connections
Mixer shafts have to transmit torque and stay within the runout and deflection limits required by the drive, seal, bearings, and impellers. We machine replacement and custom shafts with the shoulders, threads, keyways, coupling interfaces, and impeller connections the assembly calls for. Shaft material and diameter are confirmed from the mechanical load, unsupported length, operating speed, process environment, and existing equipment geometry.
Critical Fits and Balance
Critical fit dimensions are confirmed against the mating shaft, drive, or existing component. Runout and balance requirements are established from the part geometry and operating speed. If a project requires a defined balancing method or acceptance limit, we confirm that before quoting.
Repair and Modification
Some components can be repaired or modified and returned to service. That work may include restoring a connection, correcting a fit, machining a new keyway, adapting a component to a replacement drive, or modifying an impeller hub for a new shaft. We inspect the part and identify the dimensions and material condition that affect whether repair is practical.
Materials and Inspection
Common materials are carbon steel and stainless steel. Other materials are considered when corrosion, abrasion, temperature, or mechanical duty requires them. Material selection is confirmed before production. Finished components are checked against the approved dimensions and connection details, including critical fits and shaft runout where applicable.
What to Send With Your Request
Send as much of the following as is available. We will identify any additional measurements or process data needed after the initial review.
- Manufacturer and model information from the mixer, motor, and gear reducer nameplates
- Existing drawings, manuals, bills of material, or prior quotations
- Overall photographs and close views of shafts, impellers, couplings, seals, and mounting details
- Critical dimensions and available physical samples
- Material of construction and known surface finish requirements
- Operating speed, motor power, vessel geometry, fluid properties, and mixing objective when engineering review is required
- A description of wear, damage, vibration, leakage, or other operating problems
Request Aftermarket Parts
Send the nameplate information, drawings, and photographs you have. We will tell you what else is needed after the first review.
