Rebuilds & Retrofits

Work on mixers you already own

Your mixer is in service and something changed. It runs louder than it used to, the seal keeps leaking, the batch takes longer, or the process moved on and the unit no longer suits it. We rebuild and retrofit equipment that is already installed, whoever built it. Send the nameplate, photos and a description of the problem. We can review whether a rebuild, a component change or a replacement is the practical path. An inspection may be needed before the final scope is set.

A review is also useful when solids settle on the tank floor, the blend is uneven, motors trip or gearboxes run hot. We compare the installed drive, shaft, impeller and mounting arrangement with the current fluid properties, working volume and operating cycle before recommending a change.

The recommendation may involve a different impeller, shaft, drive, baffle arrangement or mixer position rather than a complete replacement. We explain the sizing basis and define the proposed work in the quotation, identifying any measurements or inspection still needed.

When a rebuild makes sense

A rebuild is usually the right call when the tank, the mounting and the duty have not changed, and the wear sits in parts we can replace or remachine. Shafts, impellers, seals and bearings all come out without disturbing the rest of the installation. A retrofit fits when the process changed and the existing drive and mount can still carry the new duty. When the duty has outgrown the drive, a replacement is usually the better use of the budget, and we will quote it that way.

What we work on

How a rebuild runs

We can come look at the unit on site, then the rebuild happens in our South Carolina facility. Either way you get our findings, the cost, and what we would leave alone before any work starts.

Inspection

We measure shaft runout, check bearing and seal condition, and look at wear on the impeller and wetted parts. We can inspect on site, or start from your photos and nameplate data.

Scope and quote

You get a written list of what we would replace, what we would remachine, and what we would leave as is, priced line by line. Nothing happens outside that list without your approval.

Rebuild

The unit comes to our South Carolina facility. We machine or source the replacement parts, reassemble it, and run it before it ships.

Return and startup

The unit ships back ready to install. We stay available during startup and keep your drawings and part numbers on file for the next time you need work done.

Tell us what the unit is doing

Send the nameplate data and a few photos of the mixer and its mounting. We will tell you whether a rebuild makes sense, what it would cost, and what we would leave alone.
